At the end of this year, the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 will come into force.
These Regulations are intended to reflect various changes that have been made to the EU Machinery Directive. The Regulations have been published in several months in advance of them coming into force in order to allow manufacturers of equipment to ensure that any machinery that they put on sale after 29th December 2009 complies with the new requirements.
These Regulations apply to suppliers and manufacturers of machinery rather than to users. Users of machinery are unlikely to be affected by these Regulations.

There is now a new format for the Health & Safety Law Poster.
Fortunately, there is no legal requirement to change to the new poster immediately, you have a grace period of five years to do this. However, if you are making such a purchase, ensure that it is the new one!
Have a look at the new poster and read why it has been introduced.
This new poster was introduced by the Health and Safety Information for Employees (Amendment) Regulations 2009.
