The course develops the theme of Responsibility (who is responsible for what) with respect to Health and Safety in the workplace. The important Health & Safety drivers are identified and their importance to your organisation investigated. The legal framework is investigated and workable routes to compliance and protection of the workforce (and of the Company) are considered.
By the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of the strategic importance of health and safety management for their business, an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Directors, a clear understanding of the consequences of failure to Comply, as well as an understanding of the role of Risk Assessment in with respect to Compliance.
The course also discusses the potential for the prosecution of directors and the effect of Section 40 of the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974.
