Together we want to change this. In this Mental Health Awareness Course, we want to help you create workplaces where employees feel supported and where no one has to cope alone. This wellbeing awareness course has been developed so that you can find out more and provide the right guidance and support some employees may need.
People are starting to realise, more fully, that feeling well is not just about being physically fit and healthy – it’s equally important to your overall health that you feel good mentally. There’s no need to feel embarrassed about struggling with your feelings. There are several things you can do to look after your mental wellbeing, as well as steps you can take if you think you need some help. part of this Mental Health Awareness and Wellbeing Workshop will help people to understand that it’s never too early or too late to seek help.
According to The World Health Organisation: Mental health is defined as “a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community“. The positive dimension of mental health is stressed in WHO’s definition of health as contained in its constitution: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
