Isocyanate and diisocyanate awareness training (half-day)

Isocyanates and diisocyanates pose an occupational health risk to those working with them, such as occupational asthma, lung problems and sensitisation. Within industries such as automotive manufacture, construction, joinery and aerospace, exposure is common. Following the updates to the COSHH regulations in 2023, training is mandatory for those working with isocyanates and diisocyanates.

This half-day isocyanate awareness training course will cover:

  • Introduction to isocyanates and diisocyanates
  • Understanding risk and health hazards
  • Safe handling practices and suitable controls
  • Emergency response to accidental exposure
  • Compliance requirements
  • Practical guidance to working safely with isocyanates

This course is essential for anyone whose work involves handling or being exposed to isocyanates or diisocyanate-based products. This training is suited to those carrying out activities such as spraying, coating, using sealants, expanding glues and foams.

Our course is suitable for operators and technicians, supervisors and managers, maintenance teams or anyone responsible for workplace safety and chemical handling. No prior isocyanate awareness training or experience is required.
