Michael Ellerby Director Leading, and working alongside, an excellent team of health and safety consultants is our director, Michael Ellerby. He is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and Chartered Chemist and appears on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR). He loves working with organisations to improve workplace health & safety, including the handling of chemicals. He uses his vast experience in consultancy and industry as a health and safety consultant for the benefit of our clients. As a respected Health and Safety Trainer with an international reputation, Michael is in demand to deliver high-quality training at all levels, including the delivery of webinars, seminars and international health and safety training packages. As well as working across the UK, Michael also carries out training and consultancy in the Middle East. He has recently helped in the development of training courses aimed at schools and academies. Mike brings niche skills and experience in the arena of laboratory safety and the safe handling of substances hazardous to health.
Peter Phillips Senior Health & Safety and Food Safety Consultant Peter has a long and impressive history in the world of Health and Safety. He has worked in the Enforcement side of the industry (as an EHO) as well as in the Food Safety & Food Hygiene sectorm giving him a valuable perspective on the realities of health and safety. He has many years of valuable experience as a Health and Safety Consultant and has worked with many clients in many sectors from many backgrounds. Peter also brings experience in the construction industry and has managed the safety on large Wind Turbine projects. Peter is a fantastic team player and an asset to the business.
Jo Sheraton Health & Safety Consultant Having worked in the Manufacturing Industry for over 30 years, Jo (a former HR Manager) has valuable experience of working within both small family businesses and high profile blue-chip international companies. She has a vast experience of manufacturing processes dealing with a wide variety of Health & Safety issues. Jo also has an excellent and practical knowledge of food hygiene, having also worked within the food industry for many years.
Lucy Jones Health & Safety Consultant With a degree in Environmental Health, Lucy brings a wealth of up-to-date knowledge covering food hygiene as well as health and safety. Spending the majority of her time working alongside our retained clients, she empowers others with the knowledge to improve their working practices and the safety of their employees. Lucy works with food producers (such as bakeries and meat factories) in addition to restaurants, etc.
Nigel Slawson Health & Safety Consultant With over 25 years experience in the retail and warehousing industry, Nigel discovered a passion for health and safety and joined the LRB Consulting team in January 2022. In addition to roles in Health and Safety Management, HR Management and Facilities Management within his previous company, he completed his NCRQ Level 6 Diploma and has never looked back. Nigel is committed to ensuring that health and safety is relevant and understandable to all, and is keen to help all of his clients promote a positive health and safety environment within their companies. Nigel is an experienced and passionate trainer across topics including First Aid, Fire Safety, Manual Handling and more.

Dettie Trapperby Operations Manager With a background in live events, management and administration, Dettie is our Operations Manager and the first port of call when you contact the office. With a keen eye for organisation, Dettie coordinates training sessions, helps arrange site visits, and provides support to clients seeking third-party accreditation (CHAS, SMAS, ConstructionLine, AVETTA, etc.). Collaborating closely with our team of consultants, Dettie spearheads various projects and initiatives.
